Washington
Well, I just spent the last 12 days in washington to visit some of my family. Well I have been here I have been able to get alot done that I normally would not be able to do. I caught up on various projects, deadlines I needed to meet, and cleaning out my old room(because I'm getting married this spring) But most importantly, I caught up with my family. I learned more about them, and in a way, love them even more by spending this time together. I mended some (what I thought were rocky) relationships and better understood that I was the one that was selfish. I also got to know my niece better and cant wait until she, and everyone else comes out for our wedding. I still wish that we all lived closer to each other, but in a strange way, we are closer than we ever have been as a family. The one person that I will miss seeing most importantly is my grandmother. As I was kissing her goodnight tonight, she said she was sorry she would not be able to make it to my wedding because she is getting to old to travel that far. I completely understand, and just pray that I will be able to see her again soon. I realized that you really do start to miss something or someone when you are away from them. One verse that I do think of in the Bible that is comforting is where Jesus says: "I will never leave you nor forsake you." I love visiting with my family and cannot wait until this spring so that we can make more memories as we start a new life together.
